The Cortex knife system can be manufactured for any type of disc chipper. While a disposable knife eliminates the need for knife grinding, it also reduces operating costs through lower knife costs and extended run time. Cortex has replaced multiple competing disposable knife systems and proven longer knife life and significant cost savings. Large disc chippers in pulp and paper mills can be adapted with the Cortex knife system as well.
